Changes in severity of clinical pattern of dengue infection and its management: a cross-sectional study a tertiary care hospital

Background: Dengue fever is a debilitating viral disease, transmitted by mosquitoes, and causes sudden fever, acute pain in the joints. Aedes Aegyptus mosquitos are responsible for dengue fever. More than 500,000 people affected each year. In Bangladesh, over 15,000 cases of reported It high time to take some measures control this disease. The aim study was investigate clinical manifestation tertiary care hospitals.Methods: prospective cross-sectional that carried out pediatric department Dhaka medical college hospital (DMCH) one year conducted with 106 patients.Results: finding had females dominant males. Minimum maximum ages were 1 14 respectively. All patients (106, 100%) Around one-third (34,32%) headaches. Patients experienced rash vomiting. Tourniquet test came positive about one-fifth (21, 19.8%). About half population (50, 47.2%) around two-fifth (44, 41.5%) hemorrhagic (DHF) only 12 (12, 11.3%) diagnosed shock syndrome (DSS). majority (102, 96.22%) given isotonic fluid. Ns1 antigen 65 IgM & IgG 32 positive.Conclusions: rapidly emerging pandemic disease many parts world, especially Bangladesh. There no accurate treatment treat patients. However, more illness death could be prevented if countries regularly monitor circulation viruses before there consequential outbreaks.
